Our Team

Rick RomoloPresident/CEO
Rick Romolo serves as the President/CEO of Regional Medical Resources. He founded the company in 2004 when he discovered the need for a customer focused revenue cycle management company which would utilize technology to not only bring efficiencies to the process, but to also meet each client’s needs. Rick has demonstrated success in the healthcare industry as an administrator, consultant and business owner for 19 years. In that time he has worked in, and with, single and multi-specialty practices (23 different specialties), primary care practices, surgical groups, imaging centers, medical centers and hospitals, collection agencies and billing/RCM companies on both the physician and hospital sides of the business. He leads with a very hands-on approach with respect to the daily operations of these organizations and has developed proven strategies in the management of billing, personnel, budgeting, contracting, accounts receivable, accounts payable and strategic planning with a proven ability to understand the dynamics of healthcare from both the administrative and physician perspective.


Robert Dos SantosChief Software Architect
Robert dos Santos serves as the Chief Software Architect of Regional Medical Resources. He joined RMR in 2005 as the Director of Software Development to help build a technology driven revenue cycle management platform. Robert has an extensive background in the software development industry with over 25 years of experience as developer. In 1999 Robert entered in the Medical revenue cycle industry as Senior Software Developer for one of the leading medical secondary collection agencies at the time. In 2005, sharing in the vision for a new, more efficient, client focused service, Robert joined RMR and initiated the development of the applications that serve as the backbone and integration standard for RMR operations. The Billing Integrator and the Billing Terminal serve as an integral part of RMR operations. Robert is currently leading the product development team with the creation of a next generation revenue cycle management product and software providing robust power with unprecedented user flexibility.


Bill GurneyVP Client Services
Bill has 23 years of progressive management responsibilities in health care administration, serving as a senior level manager in the outpatient dialysis, home health care and dementia-related long term care arenas. For the past 9 years, Bill’s interest has been focused on the complex issues surrounding revenue cycle management in the radiology (both hospital based and free standing imaging centers), primary care, GI, neurology, sports medicine and urgent care environments.

An MBA graduate of the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, Bill’s health care responsibilities were shaped and strengthened by 8 years of commercial banking experience while he managed the medical portfolio of a large national bank. For 6 years, Bill worked for an International Fortune 11 company, serving as an account manager for a high-level portfolio of accounts in the Southeast.

Bill’s experience has allowed him to develop a methodical and organized approach to managed care payer contracting. Bill continues to work with all of the major payers to produce payer agreements that are fair to both his clients and to the payer. Bill approaches his client responsibilities with a mindset that is based on executing the fundamentals while measuring the results…with customer service as the top priority.

Sherry MalletteOperations Manager-Sebastian
Sherry has worked in the healthcare business office world for 18 years and is a certified professional coder (CPC). Sherry joined RMR in 2011. Her experiences have led her to work with a number of specialties including ER physician billing, Pathology, Radiology, Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Orthopedics and Urgent Care billing. Sherry also has a proven ability to be highly effective in provider enrollment with major payers. Our clients constantly compliment Sherry for her overall knowledge of the revenue cycle. Sherry leads the operations in our Sebastian, FL office.


Brenda HanserOperations Manager-Biloxi
Brenda has worked in the healthcare industry for over 36 years and with Regional Medical Resources since we opened in Biloxi in 2010.   She quickly became a client favorite with her great management skills and an attention to detail proven to streamline the RCM process and help maximize the revenue for all of her clients. She has experience managing the RCM process for most medical specialties during her career and has developed and expertise in credentialing providers with Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, Tricare, as well as most commercial payers.


Tricia PerkinsOperations Manager-Sebring
Tricia has 22 years of experience in the world of revenue cycle management. Her expertise includes Radiology, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, Pathology Physical and Occupational Therapy, Orthopedics, Sleep Studies and ENT, Sports Medicine practices. She has a proven background in maximizing collections, managing accounts receivable, and understanding compliance requirements. Tricia has built a reputation for exceeding expectations with our clients due to her rapid response time and communication skills.
